Building A Community From Scratch

A big thanks to EntrepreneurDIY.com for hosting me tomorrow.

Join me live for a free call where I'll be telling you how to build a community from scratch using a website and social media. This will be all how-to rather than theory. Reserve your spot today.

Amplify’d from dempseymarketing.com

Building a community around your business is one of the best ways to ensure a steady flow of new leads and customers coming to your door. But with all the available social networks and other platforms available, how do you choose the right venue for your community to meet, and then how do you get people to come? And once they’re there, how do you form the community. And once you have the community formed, how do you grow it? And then… well, you get the point.

Tomorrow at 10 AM EST I’ll have the answers to those questions and more in a free event hosted by EntrepreneurDIY.com - Building a Flourishing Business with a Strong Community, from Scratch, Using a Website & Social Media. Skip the details and register right now >>

Win Or Lose? The Difference Between Try And Do

The difference between those that win and those that lose is the same difference between trying and doing.

It all starts with an idea. When the inspiration hits it's time for action. Sure planning is nice, but sometimes you just have to go for it.

This past Friday morning at 4 AM I officially launched The New Social SEO Podcast. During the previous two-and-a-half hours later I had set up the website, created all the artwork, recorded, edited, and uploaded the first episode to Amazon S3, tested my RSS feeds and submitted the podcast to iTunes. A few hours later it was picked up by a few of my friends in the blogosphere and the promotion began.

It all started with an idea, an idea I could have left alone, and almost did…

The Only Hats An Entrepreneur Should Be Wearing

Let's see if you agree with me on this one.

Amplify’d from dempseymarketing.com

When you’re running a business you can’t do everything. In fact you shouldn’t. Even then there are never enough hours in the day, which is okay as long as you make progress each day. So with so many options of “what to do today” available to you what should you be focusing on?

In short – those activities that revolve around one of two things:

  1. Bringing more money into the business

  2. Ensuring that too much money isn’t flowing out of the business

Amplify’d from dempseymarketing.com

There were many comments on the recent post Google Proves Not Being On Social Media Will Kill Your SEO and on Twitter about how to implement the rel=”author” link tag on a blog. I followed the tutorial from Yoast which you can find here. But we’ve taken it a step further – we got our WordPress team at 9Seeds to create a little plugin for everyone.
